Star Lecture archive – David Olusoga

The University of Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ’s Professor of Public History, David Olusoga, presented the keynote lecture at the KS3/4 Black History Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ Day, part of Black History Month 2019.

Professor David Olusoga is one of Britain’s foremost historians and presenter of landmark documentaries series including CivilisationA House Through Time and Black and British: a Forgotten History.

Olusoga, who studied History at the University of Liverpool and joined Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ as Professor of Public History in 2019, says: “I got into history because I wanted to make sense of the forces that have affected my life… I’m from that generation who would look at Trevor McDonald on television – his gravitas and authority  and see hope and potential.”

To commemorate Black History Month 2019, the University and invited Olusoga to provide the keynote lecture at our KS3/4 Black History Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ Day.
