Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ Guardian bicentenary

TBC

Founded in Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ in 1821 the Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ Guardian was a progressive voice at a time when the industrial north was leading the country’s prosperity.

The paper would outgrow its Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ roots to become the globally recognised Guardian.

The University’s tells the newspaper’s story in its latest exhibition. The collection uncovers stories behind the headlines and features letters that reveal the risks that journalists took to report difficult truths.

‘Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ’s Guardian’ will launch when the Rylands reopens to the public.
