This on-campus event will consist of workshops based on topics from the A-level  Mathematics curriculum that continue to support your learning. It will also provide an opportunity to meet the mentor who will support you throughout the programme. 

The sessions will be supported by University of Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ academics and students as well as partners from MEI.  

When: October 2025.  

Two 7-week Massive Open Online Course (MOOCs) 

These courses will continue to focus on the A-level Mathematics curriculum and work through its more challenging topics.  

The material will be delivered through a range of methods and will feature practice questions and assessments to track your progress. You will also receive online mentoring from current University of Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ students.  

When: From October to February.  

One-day closing masterclass  

This course gives you a final opportunity to work on topics that you may be struggling with on your A-level Mathematics course  and celebrate completing the programme too. 

You will work with University of Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ academics and students, as well as partners from MEI. The day is designed to give you confidence as you approach your final A-level examinations.  

When: February/March 2026.  

One-day introductory masterclass 

This in-person event will provide an opportunity to visit our campus and meet the mentors who will be working with you on the programme. Workshops and sessions will be run by University of Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ academics and students, as well as partners from MEI. 

When: January 2026. 

Two 7-week Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)

These online courses have been designed to fit with the A-level Mathematics curriculum in a structured series. 

Content is delivered in a variety of ways including videos, practice questions and assessments covering a range of methods and applications. You will also receive ongoing online mentoring from current University of Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ students.

Closing one-day masterclass 

This event gives you an opportunity to visit campus and celebrate completing the programme, while also engaging in further workshops to help support your maths skills alongside your A-level curriculum. The day will include workshops supported by University academics, student mentors and external partners from MEI.

Two 8-week Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) 

These courses have been carefully designed to fit with the A-level Further Mathematics curriculum, focusing on some of the key topics and trickier content as part of a structured series. 

Content is delivered in a variety of ways including videos, practice questions and assessments covering a range of methods and applications. You will also receive ongoing online mentoring from current University of Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ students. 

When: Early 2026. 

Closing one-day masterclass

This event gives you an opportunity to visit campus and celebrate completing the programme, while also engaging in further workshops to help support your maths skills alongside your A-level curriculum. The day will include workshops supported by University academics, student mentors and external partners from MEI. 

When: May 2026.

To apply, you must meet the following requirements:  

• be in the correct year group for the programme you are applying for in the  2025/2026 academic year;
• have a home postcode in the north west;  

• have passed eight GCSES; 
• have achieved grade 7 to 9 for six of your GCSEs, including GCSE Maths and Science (we'll ask for proof of this within the application form); 
• believe that, with the additional learning provided by this programme, you're capable of achieving Grade A or A* in Maths in your final A-level exam.

This programme is designed for pupils from communities that are underrepresented in higher education, including: 

• If you have a POLAR 4 Q1 postcode ();
• If you attend a school that has an Index Multiple of Deprivation flag;
