Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) PhD studentship programme
The University of Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ has established funding through GCRF for studentships to build connections with countries that are overseas development assistance (OOA) recipients.
The (GCRF) is a £1.5 billion fund announced by the government to support cutting-edge research that addresses the challenges faced by developing countries. GCRF forms part of the UK's Official Development Assistance (ODA) commitment. ODA-funded activity focuses on outcomes that promote the long-term sustainable growth of countries on the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list.
GCRF PhD programme
The GCRF PhD studentship programme is a four year programme with integrated teaching certificate and The University of Ô°ÇøÒùÂÒ has up to 12 studentships available.
Funding for the programme will include tuition fees, an annual stipend at the minimum Research Councils UK rate (around £15,000 for 2019/20), a research training grant, training allowance and travel allowance.
